I wrapped up an incredible group coaching session in my Skool group earlier this week that lit my brain on fire, and I HAD to share these insights with you. We dove deep into what moves the needle in business, and I'm going to cut straight to the chase:
Whether you're an author, creator, or business owner, the entire game boils down to getting attention to your offers.
But most people miss something: It's not about reaching EVERYONE. It's about reaching the RIGHT people. One of my clients, a paving company in rural South Carolina, gets about 4,000 website visits monthly. That's it. But they're crushing it because they're getting the right attention from the right people.
Here are the only metrics that truly matter in 2025:
Sales
Email list growth
Lead generation (calls/forms)
Bonus: Conversion Rates of Lead/Sales and Landing Pages
Everything else? Just vanity metrics that don't move the needle.
But let me share something personal: I've got this initiative I'm calling "Leverage 25" - and it's all about three key activities:
Content marketing (one-to-many communication)
Strategic advertising
Digital products/e-commerce
Why these three? Because they're all leverage plays. They let you create once and impact many. Coming from a service business background, I believe this change is long overdue.
🎯 Action Steps for This Week:
Start documenting your journey NOW (yes, even before you have a product)
Set a specific email list growth goal for Q2 2025
Download CapCut on your phone (free version) and start experimenting with video content
Here's the truth bomb that hit our group: Those who don't start building attention today will be years behind.
Trust is becoming the new currency, primarily as AI floods our feeds. People are craving genuine human connection and verification more than ever. Every piece of content you share, every behind-the-scenes glimpse you provide, is building that precious trust with your audience.
Remember: If you feel like you're not making traction, you're simply not doing enough. Double what you're doing now. Yes, really. Double it.
And hey, if you're worried about getting it perfect or dealing with trolls, let them judge, unsubscribe, or do whatever they want. Your job is to keep showing up for the people who need what you're building.
P.S. What's one piece of content you could create and share TODAY? Hit reply and let me know - I read every response.
Post is scheduled to publish tomorrow morning on 9 questions to ask to change good scenes in your story to great ones! A note will go out today to let people know to watch for it.
